Who Am I?
My name is Keira Martinez (she/her)
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Massachusetts. I identify as a white, queer, cisgender woman. I am a parent (and a dog mom), a wife, and a member of communities that seek to challenge oppressive systems and inequity.
My Approach
In our work together, you are more than a list of symptoms or a potential diagnosis. I see you as a whole person bringing expertise, resilience, and a unique perspective to our collaboration.
My practice is founded on a secure and collaborative process. What sets me apart is a deeply held belief in understanding you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. It is of the utmost importance to me to see you within your context and your lived experience. We both bring expertise to the relationship, and my goal is to share my expertise with you and gain from your experience to make the most of our work together.
My Philosophy
Seeing the Whole You
A Holistic & Collaborative Approach
My approach is always holistic and centered on you. It’s incredibly important to me to see you within your lived experience.
We both bring expertise to our work, and this trusted collaboration is essential to making the most of the assessment experience.

Cultural Humility
I am committed to practicing with cultural humility, ensuring that you feel seen, heard, and understood.
I recognize that I operate from my own context—as a white, queer, cisgender woman and a parent—and I continuously work to be aware of my own biases.

Beyond Labels
While a diagnosis can be a helpful gateway to treatment, I think about mental health dimensionally.
I look beyond the label to consider who you are, what your experiences mean for you, and how we can use this information to support your specific goals.
Expertise & Trust
When you trust someone with your story, you want to know they have the expertise to help and that they appreciate what that trust means.
My Background & Training
A Unique Combination of Expertise & Care
Extensive & Diverse Training
I have over a decade of exceptional training and experience in a variety of clinical settings including intensive outpatient partial hospitalization programs, neuropsychology clinics, college counseling centers, community mental health centers, specialized early intervention and coordinated specialty care for early psychosis, and within the VA healthcare system. This broad training enables me to work with clients experiencing a range of symptoms of varying severity, acuity, and chronicity.

Lifespan Experience
One size does not fit all, especially when it comes to assessment and development. I have had the privilege of working with clients as young as 8-years-old through older adults in their 90s. This experience positions me to effectively tailor my assessment and interventions so that they are developmentally appropriate and responsive for clients across the lifespan.

Expertise in Complex Cases
I have extensive experience in diagnostic evaluation, particularly with complex cases. If your symptoms have stumped previous providers or a past diagnosis doesn't feel right, I am here to work with you to figure out what’s going on.

Specialized Training
In addition to broad training in various settings and with diverse populations, my background includes specialized training in assessing and treating early psychosis, clinical high-risk for psychosis, and other serious mental illnesses in young adults. I completed my residency training and post-doctoral fellowship with a focus on the assessment and treatment of psychosis for adolescents and young adults and continue to work in this area as a clinical researcher.
